The George Washington Hotel treats the events they host with the utmost care and attention. The event staff works with each individual client to design an event tailored to their needs. Our Director of Events, Bradley Jox, is right there with his personal touch every step of the way. This process can be as simple as putting together a lunch meeting for a few people and as complex as planning everything down to the table setting for a grand wedding. Brad is always up for a challenge and loves making our client’s dreams a reality.
The hotel is equipped to host virtually any type of event. The staff has arranged baby showers, receptions, weddings, holiday parties, business meetings and much more. The first step to any successful event is selecting the perfect venue. The George Washington offers 7 completely different rooms for whatever your event needs might be.
The largest event venue is the Grand Ballroom. This room is often booked for wedding receptions as a result of its luxurious decor. The Ballroom can easily host up to 300 people while still leaving space to get jiggy on the dance floor. Just this last January our event coordinator planned a roaring 20s themed wedding reception! The George Washington is already bursting with character, not to mention its history. I’m sure you can imagine how spectacular this 1920s event turned out to be.
The Washington Room is just slightly smaller than the Ballroom. This room is the prime choice for future brides and grooms. Dozens of truly incredible wedding ceremonies have been held in it. The vaulted ceiling along with the stone floors make the acoustics fantastic. The wall on the left side of the room is made up of 6 windows that extend nearly floor to ceiling. Sunshine pours in and adds an invigorating natural energy to every event.
The staff at the George Washington understands that not every event is a formal get together. The Pioneer Grille is perfect for a casual dinner party or even a public performance. With the kitchen right next door, serving dinner for your guests is easier than ever. Executive Chef Mike Green has planned and executed dozens of wonderful dinner parties in this room.
We hear horror stories about previous events that our clients have tried to host elsewhere. The number one complaint is that they don’t feel appreciated or like they’re a priority. The George Washington strives each and every day to make sure our events are not only a joy for the guests but also a breeze to design for our clients. Next time you need to plan a reception, a wedding, a dinner party, or even a casual get together, call the George Washington Hotel and experience the difference that personal care makes.
